More waters to ply?

Yesterday the Adirondack Nature Conservancy announced that it has purchased Follensby Pond. This 14,600-acre piece of property located west of Tupper Lake NY, oin the Town of Harrietstown, and consits of mixed forest, approximatley 10 miles of Raquette River Shoreline and Follensby Pond itself. It is not expected to be open to the public for some time, but it's inclusion into the Forest Preserve is sure to be anticipated by paddlers all over the Northeast.
