Invasion of Vermont

Yet again a group of Adirondack paddlers will be making their way across Lake Champlain to Burlington VT as part of the annual "Invasion of Vermont" (No need to worry Vermonters they are a passive group). Last year saw 3' swells and great surf. Who know what this year will bring. Stay tuned for photos.

'Round the Mountain

The Smith family enjoyed the Fall foliage on Sunday with a trip from Ampersand Bay to Lake Flower. The color change is close to peak. Best time of the year to be on the water.

Surfs up!

We took a group of paddlers from the Lake Placid Outtings Club to the Rt. 3 Wave in Watertown on Sunday. The water level was a little high, but we still had a blast. All three club memebers were paddling great!! Can't wait until the next trip!

More waters to ply?

Yesterday the Adirondack Nature Conservancy announced that it has purchased Follensby Pond. This 14,600-acre piece of property located west of Tupper Lake NY, oin the Town of Harrietstown, and consits of mixed forest, approximatley 10 miles of Raquette River Shoreline and Follensby Pond itself. It is not expected to be open to the public for some time, but it's inclusion into the Forest Preserve is sure to be anticipated by paddlers all over the Northeast.
